Royal Palace of Caserta

Mimi sul mare excursion

Known as the Versailles of Southern Italy, the Royal Palace of Caserta was commissioned by Charles of Bourbon in the 18th century as a symbol of the power and magnificence of the Kingdom. With its 1,200 rooms richly decorated with frescoes, tapestries and works of art, it is considered one of the most sumptuous royal residences in Italy.

But the real surprise lies in the gardens: a spectacular route of over three kilometres that culminates in a grand 75-metre waterfall, surrounded by fountains, statues and beautifully maintained woods. An experience well worth the journey.
